Saint Peter

Hello guys :)
We are from Santu Petrus (Saint Peter) Senior High School. It's a great school, where we learn about simplicity, honesty, and much more.

Saint Peter SHS is renowned for its achievements in academic and also basketball.
Our motto is Stay Motivated!
All of the buildings here are green-painted. Our uniforms are also green! So, we can say that our typical color is green. There are lots of trees and flowers also!  Very fresh (:

History of the SMA Santu Petrus began with the arrival of six young pastor or congregation Congregatio Discipulorum Domini Disciples of God in Pontianak 1949. The six of them came at the invitation of the Vicar Mgr Apostdik Tarcisius Van Valenbeng, OFM Cap to assist pastoral services for the Chinese community in Pontianak.

Our City ♥

Hellooo guys :) four of us was born in Pontianak, a hot but lovely city. You have to go here someday, we have so much tasty food here!
Pontianak is the capital of the Indonesian province of West Kalimantan. It is a medium-size industrial city on the island of Borneo. Pontianak occupies an area of 107.82 km² in the delta of the Kapuas River. It is located almost precisely on the equator, hence it is widely known as Kota Khatulistiwa (Equator City). The city center is actually less than 3 kilometres (2 mi) south, so it is indeed among the closest of any substantial city in the world.

Here, the photo of Tugu Khatulistiwa in our city:

ICED CREAM

Ice cream (derived from earlier iced cream or cream ice) is a frozen dessert usually made from dairy products, such as milk and cream, and often combined with fruits or other ingredients and flavors. Most varieties contain sugar, although some are made with other sweeteners. In some cases, artificial flavorings and colourings are used in addition to, or instead of, the natural ingredients. The mixture of chosen ingredients is stirred slowly while cooling, in order to incorporate air and to prevent large ice crystals from forming. The result is a smoothly textured semi-solid foam that is malleable and can be scooped.

The meaning of the phrase "ice cream" varies from one country to another. Phrases such as "frozen custard", "frozen yogurt", "sorbet", "gelato" and others are used to distinguish different varieties and styles. In some countries, such as the United States, the phrase "ice cream" applies only to a specific variety, and most governments regulate the commercial use of the various terms according to the relative quantities of the main ingredients. In other countries, such as Italy and Argentina, one word is used for all variants. Analogues made from dairy alternatives, such as goat's or sheep's milk, or milk substitutes, are available for those who are lactose intolerant, allergic to dairy protein, or vegan. The most popular flavours of ice cream are vanilla and chocolate.

CHOCOLATE

C.H.O.C.O.L.A.T.E ♥

Even though chocolate is regularly eaten for pleasure, there are potentially many health effects, both negative and positive. Cocoa or dark chocolate may positively affect the circulatory system.Other possible effects under basic research include anticancer, brain stimulator, cough preventor and antidiarrhoeal activities. An aphrodisiac effect is yet unproven.
According to research, limited amounts of dark chocolate appear to help prevent heart disease. The oxidation of LDL cholesterol is considered a major factor in the promotion of coronary disease. When this waxy substance oxidizes, it tends to stick to artery walls, increasing the risk of a heart attack or stroke. Research has shown the polyphenols in chocolate inhibit oxidation of LDL cholesterol.
On the other hand, the unconstrained consumption of large quantities of any energy-rich food, such as chocolate, without a corresponding increase in activity, is thought to increase the risk of obesity. Raw chocolate is high in cocoa butter, a fat which is removed during chocolate refining, then added back in in varying proportions during the manufacturing process. Manufacturers may add other fats, sugars, and milk as well, all of which increase the caloric content of chocolate.

C.H.I.L.I

Hello guys! I wanna share some of the spiciest foods in world and also about Scoville Scale, enjoy reading guys (:
  • Phaal Curry – Southern India
Phaal, also sometimes spelled phall, is a dish that was originally created in Southern India. While the dish contains 10 different pepper varieties, the distinct taste of this thick curry comes from the Bhut jolokia chili pepper, referred to as a Naja pepper in other areas of the world. This particular pepper has been named the “most potent pepper on earth” by the folks at Guinness World Records.

Unusual Foods

We all love to eat something tasty, right? But, how could people eat unusual foods like insect? blood? Here we are, 9 unusual foods people eat in this worldwide:

CUPCAKES!

WHO LOVES CUPCAKE? ♥ ♥ ♥

A cupcake (British people often called it as fairy cake) is a small cake designed to serve one person, frequently baked in a small thin paper or aluminum cup. As with larger cakes, frosting and other cake decorations, such as sprinkles, are common on cupcakes.

A standard cupcake uses the same basic ingredients as standard-sized cakes: butter, eggs, sugar and flour. Nearly any recipe that is suitable for a layer cake can be used to bake cupcakes. The cake batter used for cupcakes may be flavored or have other ingredients stirred in, such as raisins, berries, nuts, or chocolate chips.Because their small size is more efficient for heat conduction, cupcakes bake much faster than a normal layered cake.

Cupcakes may be topped with frosting or other cake decorations. They may be filled with frosting or pastry cream. For bakers making a small number of filled cupcakes, this is usually accomplished by using a spoon or knife to scoop a small hole in the top of the cupcake. In commercial bakeries, the filling may be injected using a syringe.

Some of the World's Most Expensive Foods

If we go to a restaurant or food court, of course we gonna order delicious foods with reasonable price, right? But how could people eat a food that cost up to $290???

Here are some of the MOST EXPENSIVE foods in the world!

Let's start with Burgers! :)
Price: starts from $295
What Makes It So Expensive: Le Burger Extravagant is made with white truffle butter-infused Japanese Wagyu beef, topped with James Montgomery cheddar cheese, black truffles and a fried quail egg. It’s served on a gold-dusted roll spread with white truffle butter and topped with a blini, crème fraiche and caviar. If that weren’t enough to excuse the price, it also comes with a solid-gold, diamond-encrusted toothpick.

There’s Competition Though: While they may not be recognized by Guinness, New York food truck 666 Burger offers the $666 Douche Burger that features a Kobe beef patty stuffed with foie gras and gold-leaf, covered in caviar, lobster, truffles, Gruyere cheese melted with champagne steam and BBQ sauce made with Kopi Luwak Coffee. While the burger was a satire of La Burger Extravagant, it is actually available for sale, but as of yet, only one person has actually ordered it.

There’s also the Fleur Burger 5000, from Vegas restaurant Fleur that features a Wagyu beef and foie gras patty with truffle sauce and shaved black truffles. Your order for this $5,000 burger also includes a bottle of $2,500 wine, Chateau Petrus, so really, you’re not just paying for the burger -- but still, the $2,500 burger might be the world’s most expensive, even if it’s not official yet.
